Flipkart launches digital payments service Flipkart UPI - E-commerce giant Flipkart has announced its foray into the digital payments landscape with the launch of Flipkart UPI, a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) based service. This move comes as a strategic step for Flipkart to not only enhance the user experience within its platform but also to compete with established players like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm.
Flipkart UPI, currently available only on the Android app, allows users to make seamless and secure online payments directly within the Flipkart platform. Additionally, it empowers them to conduct offline payments to merchants, friends, and family using UPI IDs, phone numbers, or QR codes. The service also integrates bill payment functionalities, offering a comprehensive digital payments solution.
